Meeting time is here!
Registration has started at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Seattle and we look forward to seeing many of you there. The 2002 ULHRA winter meeting will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Friday, February 1, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  There are Hospitality Rooms each night.  Howard Shaw is running one, or more and will be showing tapes of Unlimited Light races from 2001!  Safe travel to those on the way.  It should be a great gathering!
 

An update on the Rick and Sean Bridgeman's UL-17 team!
"Thought I'd let everyone know that we just purchased the GP-101 from Daniel Mercier and hope to pick it up in mid March, with weather permitting.  We are excited about starting the 2002 Season and would like to thank our sponsor, Ted's Red Apple Markets, for their continued support and also Marc Perrier for all his help with the purchase of the new boat."

It's time to start thinking about Seattle...
The 2001 Season Awards Banquet and the ULHRA Annual Meeting are quickly approaching!  We look forward to seeing everyone in Seattle and sharing time with those who race in the series (drivers, team members, owners), those that keep the show on the road (officials, administration, sponsors) and the many friends of the Unlimited Lights.  It should be a great gathering.

Did you know the series will elect a fifth board member at this year's meeting?  The position is currently vacant and will soon be filled.    ULHRA board members hold staggered terms.  The current Board members are Joe Frauenheim (UL-72), Carl Haas (UL-110), Gene Bender (UL-38) and Bob Larimore (UL-23).  To be eligible to serve on the Board, a member must be an active UL owner and have attended at least 60% of the scheduled races the previous year.  Just a fun fact as we prepare to head to the meeting!

The ULHRA is in an outstanding position heading into the 2002 season.  As one of the fastest growing series' in boat racing, we look forward to a full field of boats on the water in 2002!  The annual meeting will most certainly lay the groundwork for another great season.  The 2002 ULHRA directory should be set, printed and available by that time and we may just have a peak at the early 2002 schedule to share!  It's an exciting time and there should be a lot of news coming soon!  Stay tuned...
 

New ULHRA Directory Ads Available!
The new 2002 ULHRA directory is very close to being printed.  If you are interested in purchasing a business card ad in the directory, please email Ed Nelson.  All commitments must be in place by Friday, January 11th so do not delay.

Cards need to be mailed (no later than the 11th) and should include a check in the amount of $25 made to ULHRA.  If you would prefer to scan and upload and, please contact Ed for all the details.
 

Shockwave Racing unveils new website!
